On the day after the national championships, Austrian headcoach Udo Quellmalz nominated a full roster of 14 Athletes (7 men, 7 women) for the upcoming European Championships in Vienna.
Among the nominees are – very little surprise – the two European Champions of 2008, Ludwig Paischer (-60kg) and Sabrina Filzmoster (-57kg).
Also nominated are Andreas Mitterfellner as well as Franz Birkfellner. The ECH will probably be their last big tournament. Competing in front of a strong home crowd is going to be a perfect push for the last weeks of preparation.
Sabrina Filzmoser just declared her return to the 57kg-category. She is expected to be stronger than before…
